Instructions for Adding Us to Your Safe Senders List

How can our subscribers be sure they are receiving our newsletters? Subscribers need to add our email address to their safe list. A safe list is a list of email addresses that you want to receive email from. By adding our address to your safe list, you are telling the email system not to filter email from our address.

Below are instructions on how to add an email address to the safe list:

AOL Webmail

New Subscribers

  1. You will need to add the From address (OklahomaTourism@e.TravelOK.com) to your AOL Spam Filters list:
  2. From your mailbox screen, click on Settings.
  3. Click on the Custom drop-down option in the Spam Filters by Address section.
  4. Select the Allow mail from radio button and type or copy and paste our address in the area provided, then click the Add button.
  5. Click the Save button to complete the process.

Existing Subscribers

If you are already a subscriber but the email isn't getting through, the email may be in your AOL Spam Folder. Please use your web mail to check your Spam Folder. If the email is in your AOL Spam Folder, open the email and click the This Is Not Spam button. Lastly, please add the From address (OklahomaTourism@e.TravelOK.com) to your Spam Filters list as outlined in our New Subscribers info above.

AOL 9

New Subscribers

  1. You will need to add the From address (OklahomaTourism@e.TravelOK.com) to your AOL address book:
  2. Click the Mail menu and select Address Book.
  3. In the Address Book pop-up, click the Add button.
  4. In the New Contact pop-up, enter OklahomaTourism@e.TravelOK.com into the Other E-Mail field.
  5. Set the Other E-Mail field as the Primary E-mail address by clicking the associated radio button.
  6. Click the Save button.

Existing Subscribers

If you are already a subscriber but the email isn't getting through, the email may be in your AOL Spam Folder. Please use your web mail to check your Spam Folder. If the email is in your AOL Spam Folder, open the email and click the This Is Not Spam button. Lastly, please add the From address (OklahomaTourism@e.TravelOK.com) to your Address Book as outlined in our New Subscribers info above.

AT&T Web Email/SBC GLobal

New Subscribers

  1. From your mailbox, select Options on the top right hand side, then choose More Settings.
  2. From settings, click Filters, and then Add new filters.
  3. Go to From header and select Contains. Type or copy and paste OklahomaTourism@e.TravelOK.com in the box provided.
  4. Go down to the option Move the message to. Select Inbox from the drop-down menu.
  5. Click the Save button to finish.

Existing Subscribers

If you are already a subscriber but the email isn't getting through, the email may be in your Spam Folder. If the email is there, open the email and click the Not Spam button. Then, if you have not done so, please set up a filter as outlined in our New Subscribers info above.

Earthlink
  1. Open the Address Book (click the Address Book button in the blue Web Mail bar at the top of the Web Mail page).
  2. Click the New Contact button above the list of contacts. The Add Contact window will open.
  3. Type in OklahomaTourism@e.TravelOK.com into the email address slot.
  4. Click the Save button at the top or bottom of the screen.
Gmail

New Subscribers

You will need to add the From address (OklahomaTourism@e.TravelOK.com) to your Gmail Filters:

  1. Click on the Settingsgear menu icon and select Settings.
  2. Click on the Filters and Blocked Addresses tab.
  3. Click on Create a new filter. If you have too many filters, you won't see this link until you scroll to the very bottom of the page.
  4. In the From field, type or copy and paste OklahomaTourism@e.TravelOK.com.
  5. Click Create filter at the bottom of pop-up window.
  6. On the next page, choose Never send to Spam. Click Create filter again to finish the process.

Existing Subscribers

If you are already a subscriber but the email isn't getting through, make sure that the email has not been mistakenly marked as Spam:

  1. Click Spam along the left side of any Gmail page.
  2. Check mark the box next to the email.
  3. Click Not Spam button along the top.
Microsoft Outlook

New Subscribers

You will need to add the From address (OklahomaTourism@e.TravelOK.com) to your address book:

  1. Open outlook preferences
    • Windows: In the File menu select Options -> General
    • Mac: Outlook -> Preferences
  2. From your outlook preferences select Junk
  3. Under Safe Senders add OklahomaTourism@e.TravelOK.com

Existing Subscribers

If the Junk E-Mail Filter accidentally catches the email:

  1. From your outlook Preferences select Junk
  2. Under Safe Senders add OklahomaTourism@e.TravelOK.com
  3. Right click on the email in the junk folder
  4. Under the "Junk Mail" submenu select "Mark as not Junk"
Outlook.com / Outlook.Office365.com

New Subscribers

You will need to add the address OklahomaTourism@e.TravelOK.com to your safe senders list:

  1. Select the gear in the top right corner
  2. Under Your App Settings select Mail
  3. In the left column under Accounts select Block or Allow
  4. Enter OklahomaTourism@e.TravelOK.com in the "Safe Senders and Recipients" input

Existing Subscribers

If the Junk E-Mail Filter accidentally catches the email:

  1. Right click on the email in your junk folder
  2. Select Mark as not Junk
  3. Select the gear in the top right corner
  4. Under Your App Settings select Mail
  5. In the left column under Accounts select Block or Allow
  6. Enter OklahomaTourism@e.TravelOK.com in the "Safe Senders and Recipients" input
Thunderbird

New Subscribers

You will need to add the "From address" to your Thunderbird Address Book.

  1. Add the From address (OklahomaTourism@e.TravelOK.com) into your Personal Address Book:
  2. Click the name and email address at the top of the message, following From (or From:)
  3. Select Add to Address Book from the dropdown

Existing Subscribers

Initially, the automatic junk mail detection for incoming messages might not be very accurate and you should check your Junk folder to see if the email has been mistakenly detected as junk. To prevent this from happening in the future, you need to mark the email as not junk. Do this by right-clicking on our newsletter and choose Mark As Not Junk.

Yahoo

New Subscribers

You will need to set up a filter to redirect the email into your inbox:

  1. Open your mailbox and click on Settings (upper right hand corner).
  2. Select More Settings near the bottom
  3. Select Filters from the left column
  4. Select Add new filters
  5. Update the From rule with the following information: Select "contains" and set the filter value to OklahomaTourism@e.TravelOK.com. This essentially allows the mail server to identify the email based on the email's From address.
  6. Click the Choose a folder to move to pull down menu and select inbox.
  7. Select the Save button.

Existing Subscribers

If you are already a subscriber but the email isn't getting through, check if the email is in your Spam. If the email is there, open the email and click the Not Spam button. Next, check the From address (OklahomaTourism@e.TravelOK.com) on this list, select it and click the Remove Block button. Lastly, if you have not done so, please set up a filter as outlined in our New Subscribers info above.

Others

If you use a Web mail system or email application not listed above, the instructions for safe listing our address will depend on the specific email program you are using. If you access the help files, instruction manual or customer support, there should be instructions on how to do this.

In most cases, just by adding the From address (OklahomaTourism@e.TravelOK.com) to your address book, safe list, safe list or contact list will be sufficient.

If the email is not getting to your inbox, then we suggest checking your spam folder, bulk folder or junk folder. If you find the email, then you will need to find a way to inform your mail application that it is not spam. Most likely the course of action is to select the email and click on the Not Spam or Not Junk button, if available.
